GBSAN Schools Project
Our GBSAN Ballandean SS Bell’s Turtle project welcomed Senior Ecologist Dr Darren Fielder to speak to the school community and take the years 4 to 6 to Accommodation Creek to check the turtle traps.
Darren gave an informative talk to the whole school about all of our turtle species and what can be done to protect them. He also discussed what other species live in the creek and how we can best manage our revegetation planting in Spring to assist with protecting this area.
Darren was very impressed with the students’ knowledge and the quality of their questions.
