BugSpace Gardeners Network launch
Thursday, 27 Aug, 6pm, Stanthorpe Civic Centre
A Bug’s Night Out Double Feature
BugSpace Gardeners Network will be launched on August 27th at 6pm in the Stanthorpe Civic Centre.
Please come along and find out what is happening in the world of the Spineless Majority; the invertebrate army that runs our natural world. Find out why we should be thinking positively about them, what is driving the global decline and what we can do to help the tiny beasties in our own backyard. Making positive change to the doomisms that we are seemingly constantly exposed to can feel overwhelming but helping our bugs can be as simple as planting insecticide-free flowers or providing nooks and crannies for them to live in.
The evening event will consist of Dr Anthony Rice presenting “The Insect Apocalypse: What is it and How Can We Fix it?” followed by an overview of BugSpace Gardeners Network followed by a sign-up and chat session.
Hope to see you there.
Register your garden
Registration for the gardeners network will be free. A garden sign will cost $5 and will feature artwork by local artist Teri Welles. Display your sign to promote awareness of the project and the plight of our pollinators and other invertebrates.
Free event but RSVP requested for catering purposes.
