When I moved to Stanthorpe with my dogs I realised I would benefit from a  remote opening gate especially in the cold or the rain or if I was towing a trailer.

I bought a solar powered kit from Wholesale Gate Openers, an Australian company that offers free technical support before during and after installation, it cost $755.

Just a matter of attaching the arm to the gate, providing a support for the solar panel and then attaching the wiring from both to the power board and battery unit. It comes with 4 remote controls that work within about 10 meters of the unit and a larger remote that works up to 50 meters away.

Energy from the sun, never had the battery run low, time saver and also a bit of added security.
