Landscape Linkages

We had a fantastic turnout for the launch of Stage 2 of the Landscape Linkages project with 50 land-holders from across the Granite Belt and across the border, keen to take part in establishing a Wild-life Corridor throughout the region to connect National Parks to State Forests through private proper-ties.

This is an important and realistic way to help protect our biodiversity. Landholders learned about tools to assess the health of their bushland and a follow up workshop will be advertised soon for people to learn more about how to use this tool.

Many Landholders also completed a survey to work out the best way for targeted support and to also gather information for upcoming funding rounds to enable stewardship of properties. We will advertise workshops in weed and pest management, seed collection and propagation and First Nations awareness early in the 2027 new year.

• Currently 75 Landholders signed up to the Landscape Linkages project.

• Contact Geraldine community@gbsan.org,au for more information or jump on the GBSAN web-site – Landscape Linkages to register your property if you would like to join this project. Please note this is voluntary to opt in and out of.
