Stall at Stanthorpe Garden and Trade Fair

The GBSAN stall at the annual Stanthorpe Garden Fest and Trade Fair was a great event. Our enthusiastic volunteers once again turned up to staff the stall and spread the good word about the goings on in GBSAN. The feature this year focussed on renewables within your home, to not only cut green house emissions but also reduce household bills.

We were amazed and encouraged by the number of people who already are on board with renewables with 44% of Stanthorpe homes having solar panels. There was great interest in installation of home batteries with the 30% rebate from the Federal Government.

From 1 July 2025, the Australian Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program is providing around a 30% discount on the cost of installing a battery as part of an expansion to the SRES.
