Wattle workshop

The Stanthorpe Rare Wildflower Consortium is organising a wattle identification workshop on Saturday 16 August in the discovery centre at the Amiens State School. So if you want to learn more about the diversity of wattles on the Granite Belt, this will be a great opportunity to improve your skills.

The workshop gets underway at 9am with presenter, Andrew Pengelly, explaining the different types of wattles with specimens of some of our local species. After lunch, we will head out to the nearby Foxbar Falls to have a look at a variety of local wattles in flower and test out our ID skills.

The registration fee of $20 covers the cost of morning tea and lunch with bookings via Humanitix. Inquiries can be made to gbwildflowers@gmail.com
