Record plant and animal sightings with iNaturalist

We'd love your help updating the iNaturalist app species for the Granite Belt region. Download the app and record your observations of animals and plants. We'd love all species, but in particular recording of rare or endangered species will help with future biodiversity projects.

Anytime you see an unusual plant or animal take a photo and you can then (or later) upload it to the app.

Wildlife Friendly Granite Belt

The Granite Belt is known for its natural beauty and its wildlife, and is the last stronghold in Australia for the Spotted-tailed Quoll.  We need to choose carefully when buying rat and mice poisons, to prevent death or serious harm to our native wildlife.  

You can help, and it’s easy!  Choosing wildlife-friendly methods of controlling rats and mice can make our region a safe haven for Spotted-tailed Quolls, Powerful Owls, Southern Boobooks and other native birds and mammals.
